LA Calendar Show

The LA Calendar Show is held each year in July in a beautiful park at Long Beach where the Queen May ship is docked. This classic, long running show is open to all makes and models, with a contingent of custom multi cylinder sports bikes, Harley customs and choppers, classic and restored bikes and some race bikes, even salt and dry lakes racers. Many vendors from the Southern California region like Performance Machine, Todd’s Cycle, BUB Pipes, DNA, Shotgun Shocks, Freedom Exhausts, Renegade Wheels and even Simms Bay Area Customs from San Francisco plus S&S Cycle from far away Wisconsin, setup their displays and several tractor (semi) trailers for LA’s biggest 2 day show.

Tech seminars, dyno challenge, bands, test rides, calendar girls, all girl bands  and a bike show  provides great entertainment for everyone. Noted SOCAL custom builder, Shinya Kimura had 3 of his custom bikes on display including a Ducati, the Triumph he built for Hollywood actor Brad Pitt and the H-D Knuckle that he has raced at Muroc Dry Lake. Spyder had a bunch of their 3 wheelers available for a test ride in the massive parking lot. Iron Works Magazine had a tent to meet and greet their readers.

SOCAL legend, Sinners member, metal casting specialist, chopper builder and ace spare parts man, Chopper Dave, had his alloy tanked S&S X-Wedge powered chopper on display at the S&S tent. Also when you have seen enough at the show you can stroll to the Queen Mary and take a tour of this magnificent ship or have a meal in the on board restaurant. If you find yourself in beautiful sunny southern California late in July we highly recommend you visit this show – you won’t be disappointed, we had a great time at the 2009 event.

We hope you enjoy the photos below from that event.
