Harry’s Old Style Bikeshow

On Saturday, November 3, a beautiful summers day out in the Scenic Rim country, at the Mount Alford Hotel, the first annual HARRY’S Old Style Bikeshow was held at the Ned Kelly Rally. This was the second year for the  3 day camping rally organized by Ned and his family. It is a back to basics, ride through some great country side to a country pub, relax with friends, camp out in a paddock and enjoy a bike show, bike games, music and good times. Harry from Harry’s Custom wanted to hold a one day show, based on a cross between the Willie’s Tropical Tattoo Show from Daytona Beach Bike Week and the Horse Back Street Choppers Magazine Smoke Out weekend. It was aimed at old style choppers, bobbers and cafe racers, featuring older motors, narrower tyres, garage / home built bikes with out the newer trends of massive back wheels, lots of billet alloy parts and super expensive price tags.

22 bikes were entered in the HARRY’S Old Style Bikeshow and a further 30 other bikes were entered in the Ned Kelly Rally show. Traders at the show included Ash’s Spoked Wheelz , Ned Kelly Clothing,  COXY Custom Leather Motorcycle Saddles, Bolam Family Motorsports representing S&S Cycle, Flat Head Power and CRANE, plus Harry’s Custom. Harry built all of the trophies out of motorcycle parts and arranged sponsors including from Australia, Rollies Speed Shop, Motorcycle Freighters, Gasoline Alley H-D Brisbane, Garry’s Motorcycle Towing and Ash’s Spoked Wheelz. COXY Custom Leather Motorcycle Saddles,  Motorcycle Roadworthys, QLD Motorcycle Paint & Panel, Snap-on Tools Slacks Creek and Harry’s Custom Bikework also Sponsored. Local media support came from, Live to Ride Magazine and Ozbike Magazine. Overseas sponsors included from the USA S&S Cycle, Flat Head Power and CRANE, The Horse Back Street Choppers Magazine, Bandit at Bikernet.com, BAKER Drivetrain and from Germany W&W Cycles.
