Bandits Baseball Game

BFM recently attended a Brisbane Bandits Baseball Game at the RNA Showgrounds with the Resurrected Relics Restored Car and Motorcycle Club. This is our home team in the ABL League. Numerous US players star with our local players in the Australian Baseball League, as it is conducted from November to February, during the US off season. On January 11 and 12 the Brisbane Bandits played 4 games against the Canberrra Cavalry, two on Friday and two on Saturday. Our club attended the first of the Saturday games, watching a great one with our team winning, then parading our vehicles out onto the field during the space between games, as part of the planned entertainment package.

Fans could wander out, view the vehicles, talk with owners about them, and watch the little kids play T-ball with Bandits team members coaching and helping out. Bandits members also gave autographs and one of our members, Jannine, photographed a big hit, caught the ball during the game and then had it autographed during the break. Lots of fans enjoyed the club visit, despite the oppressive heat on the day which limited our numbers (and game spectator numbers). After the game we cruised back to the Beams Road Caltex for a gas and coffee stop before heading home.
